IE 5.5 SP2 and higher have eliminated the Plug-in interface so I
wouldn't put any effort in that direction. MS claims it is for
security although I don't see how the plug-in interface could be
any less secure than the Active-X controls they now require you
to use.
That being said I'm not sure how being a plugin to IE would help
in any case. What you require is an application that understands
both Kermit protocol and HTTP and can be scripted. That application
is Kermit 95 for Windows and C-Kermit for Unix.
